On an icy night in Holbrook, Arizona, we slept at the Wigwam motel. One of seven Wigwam Village motel courts built from 1930–1950, the Holbrook Wigwam is cozy and warm and quite reasonably priced. In the morning, I looked at the derelict classic cars they park by each wigwam. The sun slowly burned off the heavy frost.

It all boils down to choosing the best direction, doesn’t it? But making that final choice is pretty hard. We’re finding it difficult to make the choice here, and no matter what we decide, a certain mega-major book distributor may have a different opinion and throw their weight into the equation.
